Critical Thinking

This guide is intended to provide suggestions for credible sources of information for use in the Critical Thinking course, particularly for the Taking Sides research paper.

Welcome

Welcome to your research guide for Critical Thinking. The resources provided in this guide are intended to direct you to the most credible sources of information to best meet the needs of your assignments. However, you will still need to do the work of finding, selecting, and analyzing the exact materials you will use. In other words, you do the research, but we will help guide you to the best places to start your search.

Use the side navigation to locate sources according to your preference. For instance, you would use the Books tab if you are most interested in finding a print or eBook on your topic. If you want to find a scholarly article, use the Databases tab.

If you have any difficulties during the research process, please reach out to one of the Beacon College librarians, who will be happy to assist you with your unique, individual needs. We are available via email or in person during the following hours:

  • Mon-Fri: 8:30am-5pm
  • Sunday: 10am-2pm
